Ardent Cocktails

Welcome to our cocktail page. You won't find every cocktail under the sun here, but neither will you find any of those "take 3 ounces of our peppermint schnapps, add grenadine to make it pink, call it Pink Fiesta Rumble Master, and drink it all down in one" type recipes. You will be seeing plenty of well-thought-out formulas for drinks that are well worth trying. We'll bring you only the best of the best.

FAQs:

Where do these recipes come from?

Some are our own, some are submitted to us by friends, some we've "come across" in various missives and publications, and some are the products of spirits companies, sometimes working with PR companies that, in turn, often work in tandem with world-class chefs and bartenders.
How often will the list be updated?

You probably know already that we hate being tied to dates, so here's what we have to say about that:

We'll add new recipes whenever we collect between 10 and 20 new formulas that we deem worthy of being here.

All Ardent Spirits subscribers will be notified about every update.

Can I submit a recipe?

We welcome recipes from bartenders, chefs, amateurs, and cocktailians of all shapes and sizes.

If you’re a member of our worldwide bartender database, submit your recipe here.

Spirits companies and their agents, too, are welcome to send recipes.

We might use certain recipes in columns for various magazines and newspapers such as The San Francisco Chronicle, The Wine Enthusiast, Nation’s Restaurant News, etc.

Ardent Spirits will publish selected recipes as being "adapted from." This means that if, say, we think a drink works better with more, or less, of a certain ingredient, we will publish the recipe that we think works best.

Methodology will be re-worded to fit the Ardent Spirits style.

Ardent Spirits also reserves the right to comment on any and all cocktails submitted for inclusion on Ardent Spirits or in any other publication.
