We Went All Minimalist, Man . . .

The mandate for cocktail creation at this year's Cocktails in the Country workshops was

"Retain the Integrity of the Base Spirit." 

Bartenders in the workshops tasted each base spirit neat, made minimalist tasting notes (three words max), then created new cocktails that pointed up the characteristics of each product.  The results were pretty astounding.

You'll see that none of the recipes on the pages you browse have names.  We just didn't have enough time in the workshops to bother with that sort of stuff.  Feel free to name them whatever you darned well please.  We do ask that you stick with the ingredients given in each recipe, though, otherwise, the mandate to "Retain the Integrity of the Base Spirit" would be pretty pointless, right?
